Warning to Nokia Phone Users Having BL-5C Battery

Nokia has announced a product advisory for the Nokia BL-5C battery. According to it, in a very rare cases the affected batteries could potentially experience over heating initiated by a short circuit while charging, causing the battery to dislodge.

Users can check whether their BL-5C battery is at risk or not at their website and if this risk exists, they can also get their battery replaced by Nokia.

These batteries are used in the following handsets models -

Well, I've been checking all the BL5C batteries i had in my own and friends' phones and yesterday i found a defective one. The nokia site gave me a form to fill online and said they'll be sending me a replacement. I am just a little bit apprehensive in believing they'll be sending me a new one or not, hehe. Lets see what happens.

Battery in my moms phone wasn't replacable either. Pity, I like getting new stuff

Forgot to mention it to you guys, They did send me a brand new BL5C Battery by Post, received it a week ago.
