This startup error is a very common problem with the N-Gage Classic. A lot of people suggest that the only way is to format the phone or the memory card but the fact is that with time, when you fill up your phone with some applications and games, the error comes back stopping you from using the phone.

I had found a small application a long time ago which can actually prevent this problem from occurring. The creator is unknown to me and this application is also not known to many people and probably that is why searching non-stop for the solution doesn't get you anywhere.
